People Between Jobs
I can almost with certainty predict that there are a number of SDRNews listeners who are, at this very moment, between jobs. An even higher probability exists that if you are still employed, you know of someone who is between jobs.
The first episode of the SDRNewsroom event People Between Jobs is scheduled for Wednesday January 21, at 1:00PM Eastern - 10:00AM Pacific. The purpose of the gathering is to showcase
listeners who are between jobs and open the floor to other listeners
for questions, coaching, and comments.
It’s an out growth of work
that I have been doing on a community service basis for the past seven
years, adapted to virtual space.
In literally thousands of real life interviews and group interaction there are surprisingly, a few key questions that can lead to some real insights into finding a new job, and personal growth during the time that you are between jobs.
Here are some of the questions that we will be asking:
- What you have done in your Job Search over the past week?
- What you have done for Other People while you are between jobs ?
- What you have done for yourself over the past week ?
Pretty soft stuff ? You will be surprised how the group process can take those three discussion topics and drill into the basis for effective job search, accountability, and growth.
